AUGMENT REALITY MUSEUM EXPERIENCE

The Irish in Uniform is an augmented reality mobile application based on an exhibition of the same name. The application aims to create a more engaging experience for museum visitors by allowing interaction with virtual content based on the physical exhibit. User's scan markers associated to an exhibit object and are presented with 3D replicas, videos and/or audio to help create a narrative with the content. This application was made for those who seek a more engaging experience when visiting a museum. User-centered and iterative design approaches were employed in the development of this along with questionnaires, interviews and consistent user testing at each iteration.
